| Thirty-two approved members of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution organized a Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, in the city of Marceline, state of Missouri, to be known as the Continental Congress Chapter on the 10th day of November, 1922.
Evalina Gilmore served as the first Regent. The thirty-two members and their successors and associates were declared to be a regularly organized Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution on December 31, 1923. All thirty-two members signed the charter, which has the seal of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, is signed by Lora Haiurs Cook, National President General. | |
Continental Congress Chapter News Letter October 2011
Regent's Message:
Dear Daughters, I hope everyone has had time to get out and enjoy the great weather we are having. I'm looking forward to our visit from the State Regent Donna Nash on October 18th, hope everyone has their calender marked. I also have heard from our new Associate Member, June Epperly, she sounds like a wonderful lady and I'm very happy to have her join us. Next Meeting: Our next meeting is October 18th, 6:30 at Bethany Baptist Church, Christian Life Center. Our State Regent Donna Nash is coming to visit our Chapter, we have also invited the Hannah Hull Chapter and the General John Sullivan Chapter to join us.
