Organized on July 19, 1997, by Organizing Regent Dolores Brondel (Mrs. Jerome B.).
The Eldon Chapter is one of the youngest chapters in the State of Missouri. The chapter was
named for the community of Eldon, Missouri. Located on the edge of the Ozark Highlands
in the center of the state, Eldon is a bustling community of nearly 5000 persons.
Diverse in business and cultural activities, Eldon is located just miles from
The Lake of the Ozarks, a vast recreational and resort area that covers over 1200 miles of
shoreline, which includes three Missouri counties and several dozen cities and towns.
Although headquartered in Eldon, chapters members come from all the nearby counties.
All our members are enthusiastic about the future of our chapter, and are very active supporters
of the objectives of the National Society. The chapter has a strong tradition of commitment
to area youth by encouraging the study of history, and the values of good citizenship.
We perpetuate historical conservation by marking the graves of Revoluntionary War Patriots in the area. All chapter meetings are held the third Saturday of each month, except January and August. Please contact our Membership Chairman for information on attending our meetings. | ||||||
