Who We Are and What We Do

The Mary Hempstead Lisa Chapter was founded in December 1978 and is named after a renowned figure in St. Louis history. To see Mary Hempstead Lisa's history, click on the button at the left. At present our group consists of over 60 members and 8 associate members. We have scheduled our meetings to suit our busy lives, and currently we are meeting on the second Saturday morning of each month. We meet in members' homes, local restaurants, historical buildings, churches, etc. Please check out our schedule page. You are welcome to visit our Chapter. For additional meeting information click on "Regent" and send an E-mail with your comments or questions.

The Mary Hempstead Lisa Chapter actively promotes and contributes to the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. We endeavor to recognize and reward good citizens of our community, promote patriotism, encourage lineage research, aid veterans in the area, and help support DAR schools.

Our meetings include devotions, patriotic exercises, the NSDAR President General's message, and at least three minutes of National Defense information, usually some food and socialization, and often a special program.
