Today, the Osage Chapter continues its patriotic, educational, and historic preservation goals.
We honor the Good
Citizens of the six Pettis County schools and sponsor numerous elementary essay contests. We have presented certificates
to members for dedicated service to our chapter and longtime membership in DAR. We support the NSDAR President General?s
project and the Missouri State Society DAR historic state headquarters, Roslyn Heights,
in Boonville, Missouri. We support the
DAR schools and Missouri State Society DAR Cold Water Cemetery
in Florissant, Missouri. Our chapter presented a DAR Medal of Honor to a veteran who published a book on his experiences
in World War II, and we presented the DAR Achievement Award for Community Service to a local artist. Our chapter participates
in patriotic holidays in our community and emphasizes Constitution Week.
We treasure our friendships we have made through our DAR affiliation and extend an invitation to women who
are lineal descendants of a patriot who gave gave aide or were soldiers in the Revolutionary War. Please
contact us if your are interested in joining DAR and would like to attend one of our meetings.
