Chapter Awards and Dedications
Terry Verstraete at the Honors and Awards Luncheon at State Conference 2008
Terry Verstraete was chosen Missouri Outstanding History Teacher. His award was presented at State Conference in April 2008. His family was also in attendance. Member Julie Burchett did the research and nominated Mr. Verstraete for this award.
Wild Edibles and Wild Dyes
In October 2008, Gladys Kullman presented a program on Wild Edibles and Wild Dyes. Mrs. Kullman has volunteered for 16 years and has put in 2,500 hours at Busch Conservation Area presenting programs to the public. The programs primarily consist of wildflower walks and making jellies and dyes from wild plants.
Justin Daniel Wenk, 2008 Missouri SAR Eagle Scout Scholarship Recipient
Gerald McCoy, SAR, is presenting Justin Wenk with the SAR Eagle Scout Scholarship at the Missouri State SAR Convention on April 26, 2008 in Independence Missouri. Justin is majoring in Civil Engineering.
