Chapter
Recognizes Outstanding Member
William White Chapter was organized in March
of 1950 by Augusta E. White. At that time
Miss White was a lady of 75 years of age.
She had been a DAR member since 1918. She
felt it was time there was a chapter in rural
northwest Missouri. Organizing a chapter
is not an easy project but she persevered
and succeeded. Miss White lived to see William
White become a vibrant active chapter. She
attained the age of 97 years and William
White Chapter is now well over 50 years of
age.
