William White Chapter memorialized Ann Townsend Wilson, the daughter of a Revolutionary War Patriot, on May 6, 2008 with a wreath laying ceremony at the Liden Cemetery, Rock Port, MO. Ann Townsend Wilson’s father, John Townsend, was a Revolutionary soldier in Virginia. He died August 4, 1834, in Adair County, KY. Ann, her husband, Isaac Wilson and children moved first to Indiana and then to Atchison County in 1844. They settled at Linden, MO, which at that time was the county seat of Atchison County. Ann died on December 24, 1851. William White Chapter placed a bronze marker on Ann’s grave in November of 1955. The memorial service in May was conducted by Regent, Annamarie Hunziger and Chaplain, Betty Bussard. A descendant, Donna Pearl Filkins Lincoln-Garrett, attended the service. She is a member of the Glenwood (Iowa) Chapter.
